Paqueta Island

Paqueta is officially a neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro. Embarkation for the Island is done on the docks of the historic Praça XV City Center, where you can reach easily by bus, subway, taxi, car, etc..

The drive to Paqueta can be done in traditional boats, traveling 60 minutes or hydrofoils or catamarans that make the trip in just 20 minutes.

So close to Rio de Janeiro, a place away from traffic, insecurity, pollution and on top sprinkled with charming places, rich history and fascinating legends.

The movement of cars on the island is only allowed to service vehicles (police, ambulance, etc. ...), it was only bicycles and carts that can be rented.

There is also the traditional drive train, which covers the entire island.

It is recommended to walk a family!
